I love this recipe because it is so quick and simple, yet it is very tasty. You can use any green veg of your choice. It makes a great side dish especially after a long day when you just want something that is quick and full of flavour! This method also works really well with cabbage or kale.
Two types of green veg – I’ve used green bean and purple sprouting broccoli
salt and pepper
Knob of butter (optional)
Steam or simmer your veg until just tender but still a little al dente.
After straining it toss in butter and seasoning.
Tip into a dish ready for serving. I like to add the black pepper last.
